Job Description: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Heavy Duty Mechanic to join our dynamic team at Apex Heavy Duty. The successful candidate will play a key role in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of heavy-duty equipment, ensuring optimal functionality and performance.

Responsibilities:

  1. Perform routine maintenance and inspections on heavy-duty equipment, including trucks, construction machinery, and specialized vehicles.

  2. Diagnose mechanical issues using diagnostic tools and equipment.

  3. Conduct repairs and overhaul mechanical components such as engines, transmissions, and brakes.

  4. Collaborate with the team to develop effective maintenance schedules and strategies.

  5. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company standards.

  6. Maintain accurate records of repairs, services, and maintenance procedures.

  7. Provide on-site servicing for clients, showcasing excellent customer service skills.

  8. Troubleshoot electrical and hydraulic systems.

  9. Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in heavy-duty equipment technology.

  10. Collaborate with peers and management to overcome challenges and deliver efficient solutions.

Qualifications:

  1. Proven experience as a Heavy Duty Mechanic.

  2. Relevant certification in heavy-duty equipment mechanics.

  3. Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.

  4. Excellent knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.

  5. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  6. Effective communication and customer service skills.

  7. Physical stamina and ability to work in various conditions.

  8. Valid driver's license.
